It’s been over a month since my last post, and A LOT of changes have happened for me during that time. I graduated, got married, went out of the country for the first time, moved to Colorado and started a new job — the busiest start of the year I’ve ever had!
I feel like a foreigner typing out this post … it truly has been a long break from writing. However, I promised myself I could have this break without guilt.
I knew that all the change was going to be time-consuming, and I was spot on — it was even more time-consuming than I had thought. I also knew I needed to absolve myself of blogging for a while and focus on getting out here and getting settled. (Hey, at least I kept up with running!)
So where do I go from here? Well, I have a lot to process.
After living out of boxes and sleeping on an air mattress for a week, my dishes are finally in cabinets, I have a table to eat off, I’m sleeping on a real mattress and my clothes are in drawers and the closet. To say it in simpler terms: life is back to normal. As it turns out, there actually is such a thing as normal. Normal is coming home to a furnished domicile stocked with the essentials. Normal is not spending every evening driving to pick up furniture bought on Craigslist and eating out because there’s no time to grocery shop. For the bad rap normal often gets, normal sure does feel good right now.
You can expect a good amount of content from me coming up. I have new topics galore to explore. From discovering what’s in Louisville, Colorado — an adorable main street and expanses of trails to name my current top two — to handling married life and working life, there’s an endless supply of places, situations and people to meet and discuss with you.
Stay tuned because if the rest of 2017 is anything like its start, there will be A LOT happening!
